Welcome!  I have wanted to blog for quite some time and I finally decided to just do it!  Why this title?  Well, I like to ride in endurance and limited distance competions on horses.  Endurance/limited distance are competions over marked trail of distances of 25 to 100 miles in a day.  The course is typically marked with colored surveyors tape (aka ribbons).  You essentially follow the ribbons.  Last August I attended a competition that was not so well marked.  I commented that I was "chasing ribbons all day long."  Somehow that phrase stuck in my mind and a blog title was born.

I own a lovely thirteen year old Arabian gelding, AAS Al Hamdani.  While Hamdani might not be perfect to most people, I think he is nothing short of wonderful.  Originally I wanted to blog about my endurance/LD experiences with Hamdani, but unfortunately he got injured at the above mentioned ride in August.  So I have decided that my blog will be a sort of "Consumer Reports" for horse people.  I will review and discuss different products that I have used on Hamdani and other horses I ride.  This does not mean that these products will work for you and your horse, but you never know!

Hopefully, Hamdani will recover completely from his injury and we will be back on the trail next season.
